How to set router to work with Hughesnet

Specs: Windows Vista
When first set up, Linksys router works well but then when I reboot, it is not recognized and I get no computer connection. Read that I need to change an IP address. Hughesnet is not cooperative in helping.

Did you read the Satellite Modem Installation Guide for the HN9000 modem?

You first have to connect the computer directly to the modem and do the configuration and activation of your internet connection.
After that you get informations, that are needed to configure the router properly.
You have to write down the informations and then have to connect the router to your computer to configure the router (read the routers manual for more informations on howto do this).

Thank you for your help. I just bought a Belkin router and returned the Linksys. I can't laud enough the help I got from Belkin. Cisco help center was not very helpful. It is all set to go now and hopefully there will be no problems. Thanks again.
