Every time you send anything out over the Internet you IP address goes with it. That is so the web server, mail server or whatever knows where to send the stuff back to. Besides, knowing your IP address doesn't compromise your privacy. Why are you so concerned that people don't know your location?

You could use a proxy but even that can be got round.

If your that concerned about your privacy the only solution is to stay off the Internet.

MY current IP address is . The most you can find out from that is my ISP and that Iive somewhere in the North West of England. Big deal. My ISP has a lot more details and they aren't telling without a court order.

Tor can do this for you. Seeing as your a novice id just use some free proxy services instead.
