Specs: Macintosh 10.5.8, 1.25 Ghz PowerPC/G4, 512 MB DDR SDRAM
Have Mac mini - no wireless card and DSL modem and internet connection
- previously had a NetGear G router that worked with laptops but recently died
- connected new dlink DIR 655 Wireless router.
- connected to both wireless and internet on desktop
- cant get either of my laptops (1 mac and PC) to connect to wireless
- set WPA-Personal security on both laptops
- norton internet security 4 on destop - I think I configured it to allow both incoming and outgoing access to internet on macbook and mac mini in Norton firewall settings
norton internet security (v.3) on macbook
mcAfee on PC

How do I get my laptops connected to the wireless?

"Mac mini - no wireless card " if you have no Wireless card you can not use Wireles.

You do not set the security protocol, when connecting to the Wireless Router the software decides what information is required to allow two way transmission of data

As regards Norton, best thing is to ditch it, itis an overpriced piece of crap bloatware.

Thanks, but I have used wireless before - i have a 4 port router, so I connect the modem to the router that way - no need for a wireless card on my mac mini. Used a netgear router before with success. Thanks anyway.
