How to find out server name in cmd prompt? ping -a IP address is not showing server name..Can u plz tel me some other way...

Is this server on the local lan or where?

to use nslookup or ping to reverse lookup the DNS name of a host both (Target and source) has to use the same DNS server (If the server is in local LAN).
