Hi,
I have recently purchased a blackberry 8520 from the U.A.E and am using it in Perth, Aus. As a student we need to establish a VPN connection after connecting to the unis wifi to actually use the internet. It is easy to do that on all laptops and also the iphone but i cant seem to do that on my blackberry. Any help would be appreciated.
all details that my uni gives is available on this site:

Thanks

If you're having issues you should call the universities support line and talk to the IT people. That's what they're there for.

Thanks but the internet support services at uni have informed me that blackberry cannot establish vpn connections.
I find this quite absurd as there is and option for vpn (in options, security, vpn).
Its just that under vpn there are way too many things to fill in which I don't understand. usually in a PC all that would be needed is an ip add, user name and password ( there is no need for a domain in my uni so we just leave it blank).
my question is how do I establish a VPN conn with just this information as this is more than enough for a laptop and iphones.
Thanks

If that's what they told you, then that's how it is. Regardless of whether or not the crackberry is capable, you can't create a VPN with only one endpoint (ie: what is the sound of one hand clapping). A VPN is established between two endpoints. If their end is not setup to allow it, you're not going to be able to do it.....period end of story.
