how to change name of system remotely ?

Specs: Windows
I work for a company that has several offices in various parts of the country, my job is to change the name of all the machines on our network to our new naming convention. I need to perform this task without causing a distrubance to the other users. If hired, could you help me perform this task? Please explain

When you rename a computer(I'm talking about a windows pc), you have to reboot it, so the user will be distracted anyways. You can use a script to change it(see http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.... but you'll have to edit each script and reboot later.

Also, I think you can change computer settings from active directory admin center, but all the computers need to be connected to the active directory for that.

"If hired, could you help me perform this task?" Do you mean you're are indeed tasked with this, or are you trying to get a job where you will need to do this? Do you indeed have remote access to the computers (meaning are they accessible on your current network ?)
