How to change an Old Belkin from Belkin Wirel

Specs: Windows xp
Just purchase a Linksys E-2000 wireless router used on a new Dell Inspiron computer. Am trying to set-up a connection to this router from my office computer using Windows XP and with a Belkin wireless card that does not allow me to change from a Belkin Wireless Network Utility to Windows Utility, required to make the connection. wHAT CAN I DO OTHER THAN BUYING A NEW CARD. HELP!!!!!!

You are not looking in the right place. There is a place in the Belkin Software to disable itself and restore the Windows utility.

Either way, both utilities will make the connection provided they are configured correctly.

Stuart, thank you very much for the response regarding the Belkin wireless card, etc. I am not a technician, just an accountant trying to solve a big problem for me. I went to the computer with the Belkin card and yes there is a choice of "uninstalling" the Belkin utility. If I do that what will be the consequence(s). The card was intalled by the company I purchased the computer from 5 or 6 years ago and I am certain I will not be able to get a replacement software to install Belkin if necessary. Your help is greatly appreciated. rolesp
