Specs: Windows 7
I have a netopia wireless router in my office wired to 4 computers. I also have a wire running to my house 400 feet away to run a pc in my home. I bought a linksys e2000 to set up wireless in my home but it seems to confilct with the netopia router. I was told by linksys I had to use a different router to be able to cascade them but the ones they suggested are older and do not have good range for the wireless. They suggested wrt54g, wrt120n..

"400 feet away"

You can stop right there. 328ft is the max you can have without a repeater.

"I was told by linksys I had to use a different router to be able to cascade them "

You got a tech who didn't know what he was talking about. You can cascade two of the same manufacturers routers no problem. If both are doing 192.168.1.x for ip you change one to 192.168.0.x

That's all there is to it.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
