✔ Best Answer
find the HOSTS file and add the following line. The name has no extension

127.0.0.1 www.websiteaddres.com

Do this for every site you want to block, Any attempt access the site will redirect it to 127.0.0.1 which goes nowhere. However, this method is not foolproof.

Blocking web sites based on content needs extra software.

They can be blocked in the router too which would still work if a user booted the PC with a Live CD. The hosts file won't block a Live CD.

If you want to do this manually on various websites over a period of time then you have an on-going mammoth task ahead. There are stacks of undesirable websites on the internet, so I'm not sure how you will go about the selection.

Hosts files and router are fine to block the odd few but what about the ones you don't know about?

Not sure I can help you personally but what we need to know is the browsers you are using (eg Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome etc). If you provide this info someone might be able to help you.

arpit.agarwal16 you can't go into space using caveman tools.

If you don't want to buy the software then consider you will have to bring up a server with two nic cards and install a free proxy server which you will have to configure for content filtering.

That is a lot of time a lot of work and a lot of trial and error.
