How to Auto-Reconnect Map Drives in Wifi/Lan

Specs: Windows XP
I'm having problems with one of my clients that uses his notebook in between his docking station with a direct wired lan connection and then randomly wirelessly in the office.

The issue is that when the network switch occurs all the mapped drives get disconnected. The program that needs access to this drive doesn't reconnect the drives, just accesses it. You have to open my computer and open each mapped share and it reconnects after either Wifi > Lan or Lan > Wifi.

Is there a way to either get a third party program to monitor and reconnect the drives or maybe a reconnect on detection of a network source ?

The reconnect on login is enabled but it doesn't matter since he's not logging in during the switch.

write a batch file and place it on his desktop.
here's an example

@echo off
rem to clear old mappings
map x: /delete
map y: /delete
map z: /delete
rem to map afresh
map x: \\machine name\sharename
map y: \\machine name\sharename
map z: \\machine name\sharename
