You would need a minimum of two power line adapters. Follow the instructions that come with them to set them up or go to TP-Links site to get the docs for them.

You don't mention a wifi router. That would be a serious oversight.

Hi wanderer,
I have a bt fibre router to which I have a sky wireless router connected.
The power plug adapter is connected to the sky router and a nearby power socket, the wireless adapter is in the room with a poor signal.
I still can't get a signal.
I thought these things were plug 'n' play.
Regards.

powerline goes wired. so you have;

sky router wired to powerline which should go to another powerline which connected wired to a wifi extender or another wifi router which is connected to by wifi.

What exactly is this wifi adapter?
this usually refers to a usb adapter or card in the pc.

Perhaps you are missing a couple of parts?
