How do i configure my smtp

Specs: Windows 7
I have an email account but not with sky but am using sky broadband and want to be able to send emails from my outlook express. I have used smtp.tools.sky.com but i still can't send emails.When i try and send and email it says none of the authenitication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.
Can anyone help?

Sky SMTP requires SSL (Secure Socket Layer) authentication. Make sure you configure the correct port number, 465. I am not familiar with Outlook Express but I cannot believe is doesn't do SSL at the very least.

If Outlook Express doesn't support SSL then you need to find another Email client. There are many to chose from, most a lot better than OE. My favourite is Eudora, no 8 in the following list. Old and no longer supported but still the best.
