Solved How can I stop my router from blinking off and on?

Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate, AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor, 3400 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor/4GB Ram
I have a new Belkin router that is constantly cutting out (every 40 minutes or less). It goes off for just a second (which is enough to boot me off of online games) and picks the signal up again straight away.

It was working fine up until a few days ago. I've tried the simple stuff, resetting the router and such. Doesn't help. Any suggestions?

I'm getting tired of calling Shaw Cable. I've already had 2 different guys come recently to fix the constant router failure problem I had before (not the same issue as this one).

FYI: It's not an issue with my D-Link wi-fi stick either because when the router goes off and on, it effects our iphones and laptops as well.

Honestly, if you are sure it's not you, then you have to keep on them. Either they have service which you are on the fringe of, or they have given equipment that plays hide and seek or you have a problem which plays the same. if you are sure it isn't you then there is little hope but to continue to dog the ISP and check to make certain the router settings and network card settings are as they should.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

Oy. Thanks Hopper. So sick of these guys. I guess I'll set up another appointment and if it still doesn't work right after that, I have to look for a new ISP.
