how can i set up two computers with one hub

Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to hook up two computers with one hub, when one find the internet connection the other will not work, it will only allow one at a time. i have roadrunner turbo. when the one is running the other is asking for a IP address ?? helllllp, im so confussed.

You need a Router not a Hub.....

A hub is really a very simple device, allowing 2 or more computers to communicate on a network. When you connect to the internet things become more complicated. To access the internet each computer must have a IP address. When connected with a hub each computer will request an IP address from your ISP. Since most ISP's will only assign one IP address per subscriber only the first one will succeed.

A router is a more complex device that solves this problem. I won't go into the details.
