You will need to call the tech support number for the "samsung
6300t blu ray" because you most probably do not have the right default gateway set in your blueray's settings or you do not have the DHCP support turned on in your Blueray.

crackermantim, I'm one of Samsung tech guys, frankly speaking, firmware upgrade is nothing but waste of time for internet resolutions.

If you get a gateway ping failure let me ask you are you trying with an Ethernet cable or Wireless LAN adapter? if with the adapter whats the model? is it WIS09ABGN or is it WIS01ABGN?

When you try to connect and enter your wireless password (If any) do you get an error message? something like physical connection established but cannot connect?

I'm getting that message and I have the same issue with the Gateway Ping. I have a BDc5500c and the 09 Wireless Lan Adapter.

Can you help? I've been off and on all day with the Live Chat guys and my problems keep changing. Just want to watch my Netflix that had been working just fine until the other night.

Thanks,

I am no expert on Blue Ray players but one of my friends ran into a similer problem. It turned out his router was using WPA for the wireless encryption and even though the Blue Ray had support for that encryption it would not authenticate his pass phrase. I switched his router to WEP and it worked.

You could try the same thing or if you are using WPA2 change to WPA. You could also try changing your pass phrase if it has special characters in it that are hard to enter on the player.

wow....changed router to WEP, tried entering all the manual IP/DNS/Gateway stuff and tested the connection, it failed. Then changed it all to Auto and tested it and it worked. I did that when I first got the samsung dvd player, didn't work then. So as I was browsing through the available internet tv stuff....wife accidentally turned off the DVD player......tried to reconnect and now it won't work at all. Went through the same steps that were successful and now it won't work again. Seriously you'd think Samsung would build in a save settings type feature but not there. Any ideas or anyone else have this same issue?

For physical connection established -- change the network encryption to WPA sub-encryption to TKIP or AES if availible. Make sure the password u enter is case sensitive, if it was written in capital letters then type them in capital, if they were in small letters use the A button (Red button) to switch to small letters. (Notify me with updates plz as iam researching about the topic.

For nrsn2 Same steps exactly and don't insert the addresses manually, leave the ip configuration on AUTO. We set them manually in only very specific cases.

Please update me.

Same over here with my BD C6500 it used to work a bit, but needed me to keep re-entering the details. Now not at all. Very frustrating...
