help need network on tower computer

Specs: puppy linux and mac os x, 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
i have a macbook and a tower computer, i need my
tower computer ( with Puppy linux installed) to get to the
internet through my macbook, i have a somewhat
crossed ethernet cable and my tower computer DOES
NOT have a wireless card. can any of you help me?

Internet does not normally go through another computer. You use a device called a router that "in a way", split the the internet up to multiple computer.

If you want the internet to go THROUGH a computer then you need to install a proxy server and set the browser (which in Linux is Firefox by default) to use the proxy server.

but good luck with that. This is a project for advanced users. I always recommend just throwing a router on your network and be done with it.

I dont have firefox, It doesn't come with puppy linux.
