Hello,

I just got my new server, and I set my domain as one I purchased... But when I go to the website it says
"Index of:"
and i have to click the link to get to my website content. In my public_html folder... I have another folder that has my website content in it. I do NOT know how to get the contents in that folder into the public_html folder. Can someone help me or make me an html file or php or WAT EVER IT IS so I dont have to click the link? Thanks reply soon

"i cant move the contents because most of it wont move because in side the folders of the website content has well content in it. I iz confuzed"

So am I. What did you say in this post?

Using a FTP client over the control panel's File Manager won't matter. The point is to move the content out of that folder and into the root directory, then delete the now empty folder. Use either FTP or the file manager tool.

In general, I use FTP because it's accessible through Firefox via the FireFTP add-on. FTP allows me to drag-and-drop multiple files/folders at once rather than browse for each individual file and upload say 5 at a time via the file manager.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.

"In my public_html folder... I have another folder that has my website content in it." Move your website content out of that folder, then delete the now empty folder.

Log into your web host's control panel, locate the file manager tool, and make the move there. The 'public_html' folder may also be called 'www' or 'root' because it's the root public directory of your website.
