have to disable wireless network for computer to shut down

August 22, 2013 at 18:22:03
Specs: Windows 7
My Dell Inspiron N5050 will not shut down while connected to my wireless network. It hangs until it final gets the BSOD screen. If I disconnect network prior to shutting down, it shuts down normally. I am using a second router as an access point to strengthen wireless signal, but my other networked computers don't have this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would check to ensure your dell has the most recent drivers available and if not, update them. If that doesn't fix the issue, or they are already the most recent, you might try uninstalling, then reinstalling the wireless device to see if that fixes the issue.
