I can't answer your question but why would you run lantastic when Microsoft has had built in networking since Windows for Workgroups?

Are you still using DOS machines?

I understand that the most recent supported OS is XP, with some limitations. It may work with Win7. They only way to know if it will work for you is to test it (thoroughly). I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work at all or has serious issues.

Sorry to hear this. It won't be long before there is no hardware or printers that are supported for the DOS environment.

You may wish to pursue emulation software like Virtual Dos Box or others that can emulate older OS environments.

Thanks for responding to the question and I wish you the best of luck.

LANtastic is not compatible with Windows 7 or Vista. Since you need to access your DOS machines, you may want to consider installing LANtastic 8.01 on a Windows Server 2003, and then enable terminal services on this server, allowing newer versions of Windows to connect via remote desktop and from there they can access the DOS shared devices.

Why not run LANtastic in a VM?
