Hello
I have, ready to install, a Gigabyte switch, an LG Nas with gygabyte port, and 3 computers all with Gigabyte ports. They should all run together at Gigabyte rates.
But if I add my NTL cable modem which only has a 100 port to the Gigabyte switch, will that bring the whole system down to 100, or just the computer that is talking to it. If so is the answer to run 2 networks- one for internet at 100, and asnother with the above configuration.

Any help would be appreciated

It should only slow down whatever talks directly to it.
