Hello, I have Windows 7 and when I am at home there are a lot of wireless network neighbors that appear available, most of them encrypted so I cannot connect to them without the password. Is there a free program out there that allows me to hide/block certain wireless networks so only my wireless networks will display on the list to choose from? Thanks.

Your wireless network should connect automatically and not require you to look at a list of available networks every time.

It does connect automatically. But I have more than one internet connection and would like to hide the others from the list. Can anyone answer my question please?

If it's connecting automatically, then why are you bothering to look at the list of available WLAN's?

I'm sorry but, I don't know of a way to block just some of the WLAN's in the "available WLAN's" listing. There's a reason for the listing which is mostly for mobile users. If you're not mobile, then just simply stop looking at the list. I fail to see why you're having an issue with that.

Oh and just FYI, wireless sucks for gaming. If you're an avid gamer and own a decent gaming rig, compare a wired connection to a wireless on a couple different games you play and you'll see what I mean.
