Specs: Windows 7
Everyone on my email list receives an infected email, sent using my Email Address. These are NOT sent by me. How can I stop this from happening?

I'm afraid that you can't. It is trivial to forge the "From" address on emails.

You have a virus that is sending emails to every one in your contacts list. First, stop Outlook or what ever you are using for your email manager. Second do a virus scan. Third write a letter to every one in your contacts list that does not have an anti-virus and tell them to do the same.

Your address is probably being spoofed. The emails appear to be from your account, but actually aren't. There's really nothing you can do about that, unfortunately.

It sounds much more like address spoofing to me than a virus on the OP's computer. A virus on someone else's PC is the more likely answer. They have your email address in their address book and the virus is picking names at random from their address book to use as the "From:" address. That way the person with the virus doesn't ever know that their computer is sending these emails (any replies, complaints, error messages go to the innocent party).

It's a very common technique used by virus writers.

Well you could find out simply by looking at your sent items.

Not necessarily. If it was a virus it could be bypassing the email client and sending the messages on its own. That's certainly what I would do if I were writing a virus (and it is how many viruses operate).

It's too bad someone has the time to inflict "infections" on other people's computers. Causes alot of inconvenience, time...not to mention frustration & anger! Thanks for your comment however.
