Ethernet Controller Driver not installed?

Specs: Windows 7
Hi everyone,
Because of a virus, I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 on my laptop. Upon restarting, I found out that I cannot connect to the Internet using a wired connection (Ethernet cable). I tried going in the Device manager to try and troubleshoot the Network Adapters, but the only object in that category was "Intel (R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN". In a lower category, "Other Devices", I see two "Base System Device", one "Unknown Device" and one "Ethernet Controller", all of them with little yellow exclamation marks on the icon. I guessed the problem was the Ethernet Controller, so I tried "Update Driver...". It told me that it could not find a driver for my device. Can someone help me? Do you need any more information?
Thank you in advance,

After you're sure the malware is totally gone, you need to find the latest device driver downloads for your laptop. Windows rarely finds the needed device drivers, so you have to do this yourself.

Here is a great website to get you started:

Driverstorer is a great device driver help website, and has direct links to all the latest device driver downloads.

You might have to use a different computer to find and download the updated device drivers, because your Ethernet card does not work, then you can put them on a USB stick or burn them on the CD, then move the files to the laptop to be executed.

Thank you very much!
Since I could use my wireless wi-fi connection, I didn't need to download it from an other computer. It now works perfectly!
