What modem &/or router do you have? Is it a cable, DSL or fiber connection?

Google internet connection sharing to get the how to for ICS.
Google Ad-hoc wireless setup

You engage ad-hoc wireless between the wireless cards
You engage ICS on the Dell desktop to then route internet through the wireless cards to the laptop.

Though getting a router is the way to go and provides better security/protection to your systems than ICS.

You need the router with a cable modem. It's the easiest & best way to create a network.

You simply repeated yourself without additional clarification.

What you describe, not using a router, but connecting one pc nic to the modem and then use the same pcs wireless to give internet to the laptop via wirelesss is EXACTLY what I addressed in post #2

Do you understand that you need to route internet thru the pc to get it to the laptop?

BTW you are not texting. It helps technical communication to write in complete words and sentences.

Wanderer, I don't think that English is his first language. I almost skipped the original post because I barely understood the question. Your phrase "additional clarification" may not be understood.
