Don't remember security questions

April 3, 2017 at 15:31:58
Specs: Android
I can remember my user name and password but like the post before me I haven't accessed it in over a decade so it's asking me security questions and I don't remember. I called the netscape help line and they said they couldn't verify me in their system. I offered to send a pic of my ID to verify my name and birthday but they said no. They asked if i had used a credit card but I told them I was 13 at the time and it was free then and they said there's nothing they can do.

What do you want?

Netscape?? Is that really what you meant to say? Netscape Navigator
was my first web browser, in early 1997, twenty years ago. By 2007, ten
years ago, it was used by less than 1% of users. If the company still
exists, I don't know what it does. Are you referring to something other
than the Netscape web browser?

Could it be NetZero? Security questions are setup for a reason. Normally you get to choose which question(s) to use - name of favorite pet, school mascot, street you grew up on, etc. - so you should know the answers. Regardless, if the account has been abandoned for 10 years, it's probably been purged.

So, what service did netscape.com provide you back then?

What do you want from them now?

And what do you want from us?

kitty, you say the post before you. What post are you referring to? What exactly are you trying to access? An old email account? Netscape Internet Service? Aol bought the old Netscape Navigator/.com years ago.

Who exactly did you call?

We'd like to help, but your question is not clear.

Doing the best I can here... And remember, there's always more than one path to success. :)

Security questions are not asked out of the blue without a reason. What is the reason?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
