#1 is a statement, not a question and #2 has a question with no real context making it hard to answer.

Try again only this time include what it is you're trying to accomplish. With a little context and background, we may be able to help.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

I'm a buyer and seller. I currently sell on online auctions. I want to create another account without my current one being noticed. Is it even possible?

Now why would you want to do that? The only reasons I can think of are rather shady, if not illegal.

But you don't think that buyers in online auctions check IP addresses, do you. The only people who could do that would be the organisers of the auction so that they can check there is no ringing involved. Why would you care if they knew that the items were coming from the same source?

I'm sorry, but feeling the need to use multiple IP addresses on an auction site still seems suspect to me.

Perhaps something like hidemyass.com

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

No not at all.... as a matter of fact I wanted to have her IP address were I am so I can sell my things and sell hers at the same time as an extra income for me, since she doesn't have the time as I do. But we sell alot of the same things, purses, jewelry, shoes..... so I didn't want to mesh the 2. Plus she wants her own feedback. I'm sure it doesn't make sense to you. Someone told me I could bring her IP address to my location so I can do it that way her computer has all her photo's I would need. Never mind you seem like all people are out to do bad. I was just trying to keep things separate out of the same work place. Not sure I started out right but what do I know..... Not much

"Someone told me I could bring her IP address to my location"

Well, your motives are irrelevant. Someone has been fibbing to you. It's quite impossible for you to use her IP address in this way.

Anyway, auction sites work according to username, not IP address (although they will obviously check IP addresses if they see suspicious activity). For example you could log in to somewhere like eBay from two completely separate computers using the same username (a lot of people do that so that they can use home and work computers for this purpose - or even just using a laptop at a different address).

Just log in with her details on your PC - no need for subterfuge, which is only going to arouse the suspicions of the auction site. Don't try to complicate matters when there is no need to.

You'll have to excuse my suspicious nature, but I used to work in computer security and I know all the tricks that people try.

I'm sorry for being rude. I just want to do the right thing and keep it simple at the same time.
So your saying I can log into her auction sellers account on my computer and sell her things for her and my site will be separate even under the same roof....

" she wants her own feedback"

This is not done via ip address. It is done on an ACCOUNT basis. You just need her to have an account and you to have an account. Doesn't matter if you can access both.

Yes her selling under her account and you selling under your account, even if from the same computer, still results in the two being separate.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
