DIR-412 Wireless Router Connection Issues

October 28, 2011 at 19:01:53
Specs: Macintosh
I recently bought a DIR-412 Wireless Router from Dlink and am having issues connecting to the internet with it using my 3G aircard from Sasktel. The card itself is a Novatel Wireless card.

Normally, when I connect my card to my computer (iMac) it shows a red light, flashes blue, and when I connect it, a steady green light appears. When I plug it into the DIR-412, it starts red, flashes blue, but I can not get it to initialize and connect. The router is set up and sending a wireless signal, which I can pick up through my air port, but I can not connect to the internet.

How can I get this card to connect once plugged into this router?

Any help is MUCH appreciated. Cheers!

DLink is your problem - they are terrible routers.

I'm having a similar issue. When I plug my Novatel internet stick into my D-Link DIR-412 router, the stick flashes violet (indicating there is a network available) but does not go solid violet (indicating a connection). The router is send out a wireless signal so it seems to be working, but there's no connection to the internet. Likewise, when I plug the stick directly into my laptop it works fine. Did you find a solution to your problem? Or does anyone else out there have any sugestions?
