Laptop -----router----modem disable wireless works fine using wired connection
Desktop: ipconfig recognize isp and router
Ping router: packets are lost

Sfc /scannow does not find any problem
Desktop connected to modem works fine
Connect the wire between the desktop to different port on the router does not help
Ipconfig/releas(renew) did not fix the problem

The problem started after connecting the laptop to the modem to check why vpn was not working then reconnecting the modem back to the router and the router to desktop.
