Make sure you have installed wireless adapter driver and the driver works well. After that you have to configure wireless adapter properly and connect to wireless network. Hope this helps.

I am no pro at this but if I use my sprintcard the computer will connect. I have tried roll back driver and everything I can think of even checked that wireless card properties and it says working porperly. I know it is something simply but can't seem to find out what it is, getting so frustrated.

When you were restoring Dell to factory settings, did you use the TWO restoration cds that came with the computer - one CD for the operating system (XP) and the other CD - drivers uniqe to the model?
