Could not make an HTTP connection

Specs: Windows XP
The white page keeps saying can not display web page. Network Diagnostics says Network connection; Connected

It's possible to be "connected" to a wireless router without having actual access to the internet. Try unplugging your router from the power supply, then plug it back in (reset).
Wait until all the lights have stopped flashing on the router.

Now shut down your computer.
Start up your computer.
Try using the web browser again.

If it is wireless router, try first setting it up first with a cable. Having done that go to wireless.
