First thing, if you could provide the make and model of your router, that could help us troubleshoot your issue.

Having said that, you could check on the router's management interface to see what the encryption key (wifi password) is. Some just show it in plain text, others have an option for doing so. If yours will, then at least you can connect that way. Just ensure you have "reconnect automatically" checked when you connect and you'll never have to enter the key again.

Often the "code" - by which I think you mean the mix of letters/numbers you enter (on your computer) to connect to the wifi service from your router - is on a label on the base of the router. This "code" is often referred to as the security key or even password.

If it isn't on the base of the router - along with the SSID - the name the router broadcasts for itself when it's radiating wiif - then you need to connect to your router via ethernet/cat-5 cable. Then login using the default login/password combination for your router. After-which you navigate your way to wifi setup/management and then security. That "code"will be given there.

As CurtR asks - what is the make and model of your router? Wit that information pholks here can help you get into the router's management page(s) and then into wifi setup/security etc.

Which model TP-link?

What is the exact/acual model Toshiba laptop you have?

Do you actually see the router as wifi acces point?

It is quite possible that the wifi aspect on your newly restored windows-7 installation isn't actually "switched on". Do you see an icon bottom right saying anything about wifi connection?

Is there a button on your laptop keyboard area - usually at the top and below the display frame which needs to be "switched on"?

Again - the actual/exact model Toshiba you have - and the actual/exact router model you have will be useful here. There innumerable versions of both!
