Specs: Windows XP
I have a net gear router hooked up to PC, we have wireless, I have the netgear CD it says netgear standalone driver. I put it in to the laptop to install internet, which we already pay for. Now it is asking me for the security key and I do not have it

Perhaps you forgot the wireless encryption passphrase when you configured the router?

Otherwise its just a matter of logging into your router and resetting up the wireless.

There should be a 8 or 10 digit passphrase which you may gave forgotten. If you never had it, you can type in your router IP in the address bar of your browser (I believe is the IP for Netgear router), look for wireless configurations and give your passphrase.
