|Friend asked me to have a look at their Asus EeePC. Was working fine, then they started deleting a load of files after closing off one of the user profiles on it. After that it would connec to the router, but wouldn't connect to the internet. Tried turning homehub off then netbook and leaving them for a while before turning hub back on then netbook, but no change. Brought it round to mine to see if it was a router problem, but ti did exactly the same even while my laptop was churning away happily.|
Newtork diagnostic came up with "Default gateway could not be resolved via ARP'
Ipconfig suggests default gateway is 192.168.1.1
My laptop had a default gateway of 192.168.0.1 - is this the problem, and if so, how do I change it on th enetbook?
ipconfig /all comes up with only about ten lines of stuff
