How do I connect to my work IP address from my home computer?
I have router IP address, but am asked for port, how do I know which port to use?the connection I had stopped working.

Depending on how big your company is - Your corporate network should not allow your incoming connection and would drop it.

There is probably a VPN client that you would need to install on either your (home) machine to access your desktop/files OR they would issue you a company laptop with the associated VPN/remote capabilities that you need.

Allowing users to connect to their work machines from home is a MAJOR data breach and any system/network admin should know this and block it.

If on the chance that you are talking about a small company with a few computers, maybe a server, and you are the owner, there is of course no IT department BUT you still need to do this in a secure manner. I would recommend bringing in a network professional to set up a business grade router and a VPN (Virtual Private Network) for you at work and a client version at your home is the right way to go about it.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
