Connect to a router, through a router.

January 29, 2010 at 08:48:11
Specs: Windows 7
I can only connect to the wireless router, which is connected to the wired router. I need to connect to the wired router's default gateway, so I can access it's control panel, but I unable to directly plug in my PC to the wired network (I do not own or have access to the place where it is).

I tried typing in the default gateway of the wired router, but will of course just look for that IP on the wireless network, and won't connect me to anything. How can I connect to it? Thanks for any help.

if this router is not yours why do you think you need to connect to it? Odds are its password protected so even if you could get to it you could not get to the control panel.

I need to open up a port so that a web connected app on my PC will work.
It's probably the default user/pass like admin/admin, or admin/password, or blank/blank. Something like that.
If it IS password protected, I'll have to figure something else out, but it might be very simple so I'll try this route first.
