Computer cannot be seen on the network

Specs: Windows XP
Hey friends I need help,
Ok I have been dealing with this issue for several weeks now (I think now I know why I switched over to Linux). I have a home network consisting of three (3) computers, Computer 1 a Dell Latitude Laptop, Computer 2 a Compaq Presario pc and Computer 3 a custom built box all running XP Pro Sp3 running through a cable D-Link router. “Issue”…Comp. 3 sees both 1and 2, and can access them, but comp 1 and comp 2 only see each other and can access each other but cannot see comp 3 in the network places, but is visible in the workgroup? I ran the Network wizard on all of the computers (more than once on comp.3) and even reformatted comp. 3 and still no luck. I have all the required setting setup to the best of my knowledge, I am running Zone Alarm, which is configured right, and (which I know is not the problem) because I did turn off Zone Alarm on comp. 1 and 2 after I reformatted comp. 3 and before I ran the setup wizard just to rule out the Zone Alarm as an possible suspect. Zone Alarm nor the D-Link or the cause of the issue providing I had them both on my network for several yrs now and had no issue with neither of them in the past. I’m guessing the problem lies within the configuration of computer three any ideas would help out, I’m stumped on this one.
Thanks……Friends and Best Regards to everyone

Try turning off the firewall on the third computer and see if that allows you to see it momentarily

My name is JRComp, and I approve this message.

I have tried turning off the fire wall both Zone Alarm and Windows (even though windows is automatically turned off by ZA when installed) and still no luck.

Hello Netcare, i will try your link; now one question i'm guessing i need to do it from computer 3 or can i run it from any of them? Does that just analyze the computer or the whole network?
