compaq presario v6000au wireless/lan problem

Specs: Windows XP
my v6000au got into serious trouble. the LAN was not working for many months and i was accessing the office network thru wireless. on a fine morning, when i boot in, the wireless lan is missing. its showing a message "bluetooth(r) disabled" when i switch on or off the wireless button. no signs of wireless lan. pls help me with this. and in dvcmgr undernetwork adapters, 1394 net adapter is with a yellow mark, but the driver shows ok.. i'm confused. pls help. a lot of local maint ppl tried n left me with zero results. i've win xp loaded in with sp2. amd processor.

If it has a yellow mark, how can the driver be good? Something isn't right. Reinstall or update the driver.

hi, thats the biggest mystery in this case. i tried re-installing the drivers. and done. still the problem could not be solved.. a rare case it seems..(!).. anyway, i kept the machine aside and using another one in standby now.. its a compaq presario v3000. this also had the same problem and solved by re-installing the drivers.

Maybe the adapter itself is bad.
