Specs: Windows 7 Ult.
Hi, I want to connect my other PC to the network in another room, so can I still get on the internet via the coaxial to rj45 converter? or do I have to go through the cable modem? is there an alternative way to do so? thanks in advance.

you don't connect via coax. you connect a router to the modem and connect the pcs to it.

Ya, I suspected that much. But my router is downstair and I want to connect my PC to the network, which is in my room upstair. Is there a way to do that, except wirelessly ?
