Specs: windows xp, ?
Cd/rw drawer was bumped and now is most likely off track. Closed now, but now computer is not functioning correctly and will not connect to the internet for some strange reason. Don't even know where to start.....have unplugged and disconnected and reconnected all, to no avail. This is an older tower and belongs to a neighbor. Any ideas?

You should be able to realign the CD door failry easily. Typically you just pull it straight out to remove it from the bay, then align it and slide it back in.

However, having said that, a misaligned CD drawer shouldn't be causing any issues with your configuration and setttings.

You likely have something else going on and you may need to scan your system for viuses and spyware.

Remove the CD drive completely & look for anything else that came loose.
