Specs: Windows 7, 4.7 16Gb Ram
Hi all ;

I have the following kit installed :

Computer room:
Virgin cable network with Asus RT N66U Router
Powerful computer with GIGABIT Lan and Home network
Buffalo Link station 6Tb Nas connected to PC via Lan cable
Devolo DLAN connected to router for circulation to other rooms

TV Room
Panasonic 65 TV
Cambridge Audio Blu Ray Player
Sky Box DX895
Denon 4520 Amp
all connected to network via Devolo 500 DLan Triple

In addition TV Room
A Cambridge Stream Magic 6 connected to Denon VIA Line outputs
and network via seperate Devolo DLan 500 Triple connected to via its own wallplug
Signal showing on Dlan is flashing red i.e above 75mb throuput

A couple of questions

1) Is this the best set up for efficient use of my network
2) If so , sadly i cannot get my streamer to find my NAS drive in order to play music.

I'm not technical but will expalin the best i can.

All the units in the TV Room, blu ray , TV etc are connected to the network and upgrade firmware etc without a problem. I do not see them listed however on the PC Home network

The NAS drive shows up on my computer as a network drive

I have set up the CA Streamer exactly as it states in the manual and the radio statiions play very well , formware upgrades have downloaded etc (Auto IP used)

However when searching with my streamer , I cannot find any of my music on my PC or on the NAS

Because i use the PC mainly to listen to music I connected the NAS at that end but when we have friends round etc i would like to play music on the streamer but can't seem to do it .

To be honest it's spoiling my enjoyment of what should be a fantatstic piece of kit .

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated

It may be a firewall issue on your PC with your NAS as traffic has to go through the PC, effectively, to access the NAS. Try turning off windows firewall and any other firewall you may have running and then try finding the NAS from the streamer.

Hi Sorry this took a few days as i had to go away ,

Didn't work unfortunately ,

The Streamer finds "My Computer" but no music on it, but not the NAS

Maybe It's a setting on the NAS itself ?

In Windows Explorer it comes up as a "Drive" with a letter but doesn't show in my Network tree. Checked connections and Lan cable is connected properly from the NAS to the router .

Maybe I need to strip my Network back and start again ?
