can't ping default gateway

Specs: Windows XP
hi,
i have a problem, I can ping other PS's in my network, and i have access to the net, but i can't ping default gateway (and i neet that). how can i fix that? there are 2 networks on 2 routers 192.168.101.0 and 192.168.104.0. i neet to have access betweet those two networks. Problem is with DGateway 192.168.101.1 i cannot ping ?????

You have to enable icmp responses on the router in question and/or allow icmp passthru

I guess, your ip address belongs only to one of these networks, in your case 192.168.104.0.
If your subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, you can't access the network 192.168.101.0. Also if the routers internal network interface has e.g. ip 192.168.101.x and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, it can't send a reply to the network 192.168.104.0 / 255.255.255.0.
