Help! My son messed with my wireless AND computer, and he didnt know what he did, but now my computer cant connect without the cable! My other computers and systems can easily connect wirelessly. I logged into the router, and im sure that my password is right, the ssid is public, encryption is both and im using wpa2 only. When i try to connect. It gets stuck on connecting, then refreshes my list of wireless networks after a while. Also, ive tried distance, and thats not a factor. My wireless also dissappears sometimes from the list. Help!

See if he changed the default wireless management application. Although it might not be apparent, he might have set the default wireless management client to the hardware vendor instead of the windows client. If he set client to the manufacturer provided software you'll have to either disable it, or use the manufacturer client. Wireless networks disappearing is a common symptom of two clients trying to run at the same time.
