Cant connect to router 192.168.1.1 but can with other comput

Specs: iPhone
I did several resets after internet went out at street trying to resolve it at house. Now Mac will nit connect to linksys page. Another near identical computer will, though different browser, and a PC will. Makes no sence.
It is likely Mac issue or the router is blocking just my mac.
No internet still so not sure if it will get internet pages.
Ethernet cable not wifi.

I was going through "assist me" in the Network LAN system preference window when the router page appeared in backgroynd. The next page in Assistant I selected the "connect with LAN" instead of the Airport checkbox and at that moment things were resolved. Coincidence maybe?

Unless wifi is enabled on a router, and a given computer is allowed wifi access to the router, the only way to access a router’s home page (admin area) is via a direct lan (ethernet) connection.

Disable wifi on the router, or disallow a given computer wifi access, and that computer won’t be able to logon to the home page. And logically no other computer will be able to logon to the router’s home page if wifi is disabled, or access disallowed similarly. Once wifi is off, one must resort to ethernet connections, pending restoration of wifi access to the router.
