Canon eCopy cannot see Novell tree

March 23, 2009 at 15:20:11
Specs: Windows XP
I can ping the router and remote into the device. Using a static IP address I can get onto the internet which the network will not allow an unrecognized device to do. It can SEE the structure, but when I try to browse the network it will NOT see it. Client 4.9.0 and 4.9.1, Novell 6. I have 5 other devices with the same client who can all see the tree just fine.

Compare the client settings of a working computer with the client settings of a non working computer.
Maybe there are some differences in the SLP settings or LDAP settings.

Please send a reply, if you solved the problem !!!

I've done that. The settings are identical. Most are default. The only changes are the Client Properties (IDing preferred tree and server) and Service Location (Directory Agent List set to a static server)

Those changes are the standard on all of the eCopy devices as well as the other computers on the network
