Hey guys i just recently bought a NETGEAR wireless usb adapter and when i tried connecting to the internet i got "Limited or no connectivity". My router is just the regular verizon router, i got this pc hooked up on it directly and my laptop works just fine. Now i was able to connect to an unsecured router sooo...

I've already tried cycling power and ive tried doing the winsock command. ipconfig/release-renew is done as well and it gives me "cannot contact dhcp server". I tried statiic IP but not very sure if I did it correctly. Help

Thanks in advance

what you describe is usually the result of not configuring the wireless encryption to match that of the wireless router. No wireless access due to mismatch results in no ip address.

Wanderer,
You were almost right, apparently the software that comes with the usb adapter has more to it than what i was using, thanks for your help
