Cannot connect to my wirless router with certain devices.

Specs: Windows 64
I have purchased a D-Link Tri-Band wireless router. I connected it to my Bell Fiber-Op router and can connect my phone and iPad and call up the ip for the router on both. However I can't connect with my laptop nor can I access the router setup.
Ideas?

What model?

If smart connect is enabled, disable it and create different SSID names for 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands.
Is your laptop wireless dual band?

Typically you can't access the router's management interface if you're connected wirelessly. If that's how you've been trying, plug your laptop in to the router with a network cable and then try to access the management interface again and see if you can't then.
