cannot connect to 192.168.0.1 for dlink

hello der
i want to configure my dlink 614 wireless router..i have reset it to factory settings..wen connected i am able to connect to internet but unable to reach the 192.168.0.1 site..my google chrome jus says unable to connect..my ipconfig details are as below...ur help will be appreciated..

I guess, you have another connection directly to the modem/router, right?
Therefore, your network card gets an ip address of 10.187.3.217 from the modem/router automatically.

That's the problem, because you can't access the subnet 192.168.x.x from the subnet 10.x.x.x.

You have to connect your computer only to the dlink router.
The WAN port of the dlink router should be connected from it's WAN port to the modem/routers LAN port.

Then you should get an ip address of 192.168.x.x and should also be able to connect to the dlink router by 192.168.0.1.

The original poster should always write the last response !!!

The reset has clearly not been successful since the router is configured to 10.187.3.193 That is also a private IP range rather than a public IP that would be assigned by your ISP

What happens if you try to log into that IP
