Specs: Macintosh
Hi All, I'm not techie and just bought a macbook pro. I've been trying to access our office local server with url: (http://****/***/login.asp) on browsers: MAC IE, Firefox and Safari, but to no avail. I have been getting an error message: "Cannot find server."

I'm connected through Ethernet, can access the internet and some file servers via Finder but not the local servers with asp and http.

Hope one of you could help me on this matter.

Kindly email me at: marian.banares@yahoo.com

Thank you and good day.

What happens if you don't include /login.asp?

My guess is that you'll have the same error.

"cannot find server" has nothing to do with .asp.

I don't know what the **** represent in your example. You should be able to connect using the internal IP address, if it's hosted on your LAN. In other words, I would connect the same way I connect to my router or printer web interface.

http://192.168.1.1 for example.
