Hi
This is really basic, but I have very limited knowledge and would really appreciate any help at all.I have an old laptop, and I am not sure if it is able to connect to the wireless router in my new place. Is there any kind of adaptor I can buy and if so what do you guys recommend?
thanks
It would help if you stated the Manufacturer/Model of the laptop. Does it have a built-in wireless adapter? LIR
If there is no built-in wireless adapter on your old laptop, then probably you need to get a USB or PCMCIA wireless adapter in order to connect to wireless network.
Thanks! From what I can make out it's a HP Compaq nx9000? Do you know if this has a built in wireless adapter (I don't think so)? If not what is the best adapter to get?
Think it comes with built-in wireless adapter, you should be able to get wireless adapter driver for Win XP on this HP download page.
