I have a home cable modem connection. I want to be able to VPN into that connection when I am not at home (through Microsoft's PPTP VPN connection). What is the best router for an individual wishing to do this on a low budget. The router should also be able to setup.

This is a challenge posting by CNChallenger.

Probably a linksys or other running DD-WRT maybe.

In my opinion, you might be better off going to open sourced ssh or l2tp or cert based vpn. and more than a few others would support in a more secure and maybe easier config.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
